Winter RetreatAs the youth ministry director I would love to invite all students 7th-12th to join us for Frontline every Wednesday night from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at the Lighthouse. Frontline seeks to let the young people of our community know that they matter, and to provide them with a Christ-like space where they are welcomed, heard, and accepted.  Frontline encompasses the biblical principles of fellowship, discipleship, prayer, evangelism, and teaching to help equip our youth to live purposefully for Jesus Christ. Frontline also challenges youth to step out of their comfort zones and take ownership of their youth ministry. Because of this, students are encouraged to express their faith through their own words and actions, as well as to use their individual talents and interests to nurture their growth as people of the Christian faith.

Frontline PicWhat is Youth Group on Wednesdays about anyway?

My heart for youth group is to focus on the Big 5: Prayer & Worship, Fellowship, Discipleship, Biblical Teaching, and Missions

The aim of our youth ministry is to love students where they are and teach them the truth of God’s Word. Students need to be challenged to not only understand God’s Word, but to actually apply it in their lives.  On a Wednesday night come ready to have a fun time! You will have an opportunity to socialize, play a fun game or activity, and join in on student-led worship, but also come ready to hear a message from the Bible! Students are welcome to show up at the Lighthouse after school to hang out with friends, work on homework, and even get something to eat from our concessions window. Things really get started about 6:15 with a fun game or group activity, from there we move on to student lead worship before hearing a Bible message that is aimed at challenging you in Frontline Boysyour faith. The last 30 minutes of our time is spent in small group breaking down the message. The small groups are organized by age and gender and are facilitated by our adult volunteer leaders. The minutes after youth group ends is a time that is proving to be more and more popular! Stick around for a little while and enjoy a snack and a warm inviting atmosphere. Feel free to invite your parents in for a cup of coffee and to connect with your leaders. I think it’s safe to say we all look forward to Wednesday Nights!  Join us!
